After removing the roof tiles and sawing a big hole in the roof, burglars jumped 20ft into a Hull church. The burglars stole three computers during the raid. The lit candles helped the burglars to ransack the church which was built in 1970.
The burglars damaged the three doors by smashing them with metal bars. David North, the reverend condemned the crime as an act with wicked motives.
Mr. North firmly believes that the computers and two guitars, one of which belonged to his fourteen-year-old son were not the burglar’s target. He stated that the Christmas collection money was the main objective and he was thankful that it was untouched.
The computers contained wedding photographs, Christening information and other events that took place in the church. The burglary took place between 1pm and around 2.10pm on Monday, 5th January 2009.
Mr. North stated that the gap on the roof made the task easy for the burglars. Whilst the computers are easily replaceable, it is the upset that causes most damage said the reverend.
The police are commencing investigations at nearby houses. It is fortunate that the church money remained untouched. It is always better to use security safes and burglar proof safes to avoid any loss in such incidents.

Whoa! Hang on a second here. Christmas is over and I have survived a return trip of 12 hours and I wake up to this news! There is no sense in me hashing over all the details when it has already been done. And quite well I might add. Phil over at MSWHS.Com has a great Roundup Article that you should start with first.
This will no doubt be the news for a while so if your a home build user you will just have to wade through all the news for a bit. I’ve read through most of the reviews and articles and will no doubt give you my unbiased opinion soon. I do hope to see the new HP software at CES though.
My reading of these reviews and articles shows that HP will be taking the Zune approach to new software updates by making the updates available to older models. I certainly hope this is the case. This would be good for HP but I wonder how they will handle the RAM upgrade issue for the EX470 and if the update will require more than 512MB of RAM.
Ok, I told myself not to ramble on about this news and just publish this roundup article. I’ll go over this more in depth in a future show. Sorry that I’m last to the party but hey, this is a podcast not a live TV show!

With seven burglaries in one weekend the police are urging residents to keep their homes safe and secure. The Rossmere and Rift house in Hartlepool was the target of the burglars and the incident took place in the early hours of the weekend.
The police stated that of the seven burglaries that took place, five were a result of homes being left unlocked and could have been prevented if the residents were alert. The stolen items were cash, alcohol, laptops, cigarettes and keys that belonged to the home and the car.
Detective Inspector Lee Rukin clearly stated that if the property was left unlocked then it would only take a few seconds for the burglar to steal from the house. He also said that Christmas was around the corner and the residents should not make mistakes like this as being a victim of burglary during festive season could be even more devastating.
As Christmas is an invitation to burglars the Detective suggested that the residents should lock up their homes and be more alert and attentive. He also reassured the trust of the residents by saying that an operation would be carried out over Christmas that would involve extensive patrolling of the area. The authorities also urged the residents to use security safes to safeguard their belongings.
He concluded by saying that any help from the public would be grateful and those who are caught in this operation would be dealt with as is necessary.
