Sales of safes has risen up to 30% in the UK

At present due to the current economic climate; people across the world are panicking and trying to hold on to what they have left. Thus the sale of safes are going up everywhere in the world. In UK alone the sale of safes has gone up by 30% says Bruce Fairchild who owns a safes company in Tuscan.

He adds that many people are coming to his store and asking for the best safes since they want to keep their cash safe. Gavin Douglas, a safe owner said that in such tough times it is very important to lock up all your valuables.

Fairchild, however, adds that it is essential for people to buy the right kind of safe. Many people mistakenly, purchase a fire safe which is usually not designed to protect against forced entry.

Fairchild advices people who are thinking of buying a safe to purchase a burglary safe with very thick steel plate, preferably one which is drill resistant. For added protection, people should buy a safe which has locking bolts both at the top and the bottom, and finally should be fixed in their homes by experts.
